Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu pulls up ‘lazy’ ministers
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday pulled up his ministers for not taking enough responsibility for getting funds from the Centre.
In the Cabinet meeting on Monday, Naidu told the ministers: “You know how many times I have visited Delhi to discuss funds with the Centre; but ministers are not taking responsibility of this issue. How is it possible for me to take the responsibility of both state and central issues?”
The CM asked the ministers to visit New Delhi to follow up with the concerned departments about the promised funds.
Meanwhile Naidu is again likely to go to New Delhi on February 6, for three days, to attend the chief ministers’ conference. Naidu told the ministers that the Centre had not released the balance amount of the 13th Finance Commission funds and if the same was not released before March, the funds would lapse. He pointed out that many states did not utilise all the funds released by the Centre.
