Telangana State cuts down fees for regularisation of lands
Plots measuring less than 125 square yards will be regularised free of cost
Hyderabad: The Telangana State government on Friday decided to slash the fee for regularisation of lands. Plots measuring less than 125 square yards will be regularised free of cost. Charges have also been slashed for regularisation of plots in notified slums. The regularisation fee can now be paid in five installments before the end of the year.
Justifying the decision, the government said that it had received several representations claiming that the charges of regularisation are high. The regularisation scheme has also received lukewarm response due to this.
Plots of BPL families measuring up to 150 square yards will also be regularised for much lesser charges. Two of the five installments towards regularisation of land can be paid in this financial year, while the remaining three can be paid by the end of 2015.
The government stipulated that 25 per cent of the regularisation charges should be paid in the first two installments. The first installment should be paid by February 28. The second installment should be paid before April 15. The third installment should be paid before June 30. Fourth installment should be paid before September 30, while the final installment must be paid before December 31, 2015.
