Kolhapur: The anti-corruption bureau on Friday registered a case against the city mayor Trupti Avadhut Malvi and her personal assistant Ashwin Gadkari for allegedly taking a bribe. Gadkari was arrested.
According to ACB, Malvi had demanded, through her assistant Gadkari, Rs 40,000 from the complainant for granting him alternative land in the city.
ACB trapped Gadkari while receiving Rs 16,000 from the complainant, said superintendent of police Digambar Pradhan.
