Mumbai: Raj Kumar is excited to work with director Ramesh Sippy in his next film. The actor, admittedly nervous, watched Sippy’s iconic film Sholay 20 times before beginning to shoot the second schedule of the film.
Raj Kumar even insisted on meeting actor Dharmendra who Sippy had directed in Sholay and pick up tips from him. This is the director’s comeback vehicle after a two-decade break.
“Dharamji told me that Rameshji is a futuristic director. The fact that he has turned to direction again after years shows that he was waiting for the right script. The idea isn’t to make another Sholay, but I wanted to meet senior actors to help me understand Rameshji’s style better.”
