Amit Shah alleges that Arvind Kejriwal is ‘full of lies’

Kerjriwal ran away from the back door after calling Janta darbar, said Shah

New Delhi: BJP president Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday who, he alleged, was "full of lies" and "ran away from the back door after calling Janta darbar."

"AAP said they will never form a political party and will never take the support of Congress, but later took Congress' support to form government in Delhi. They (AAP) said that they would take action against Sheilaji (Sheila Dikshit) but they did not. They said they will not take a government bungalow but then they took a duplex. So they have always lied to the people of Delhi," alleged Shah.

Taking a dig at the former chief minister, Shah said that before coming to power in Delhi, he (Kejriwal) used to travel in a small car, but after 49 days of his government, he is now travelling in an SUV.

Shah was addressing a gathering consisting of people who hail from Madhya Pradesh and are residing in Delhi at Madhya Pradesh Mitra Mandal.

He asked people not to get distracted by AAP's false promises and urged them to bring in a stable government.

"Delhi needs a government which could work hand-in-hand with the Centre. Delhi needs a corruption-free government. Delhi needs a government which can feel the pain of people," he said claiming "BJP can only give such government under the leadership of Kiran Bedi and the people of Delhi have realised it".

Shah urged the gathering to become a part of victory journey of BJP.

"After the good performance in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, the victory march of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now reached Delhi. You people give your support and be the part of victory journey of BJP," he said.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also appealed the Delhi voters, who hail from Madhya Pradesh, to support BJP.

"On one side there is an anarchist, while the other is a corrupt party. In such a situation the solution is to vote for BJP and help Kiran Bedi become the chief minister of Delhi.
