Chest hospital doctors to meet Telangana CM to protest shift
Hyderabad: The Telangana Joint Action Committee of government doctors has condemned the acts of Dr Viresham and Dr Ravindra Goud, who said that the Chest Hospital must be shifted. A marathon meeting of government doctors was held at the Chest Hospital on Thursday. The doctors were very upset because a meeting was held with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekar Rao without a single representation from Chest Hospital.
A senior doctor said, “There is an existing TJAC at the Chest Hospital for its internal issues, and members of the JAC are the real representatives of the patients, doctors and also employees of the hospital. How can someone, who has no connection to this hospital, say that the hospital must shift?”
The members of Chest Hospital TJAC have decided to approach the Chief Minister and put across their point of view. Congress leaders Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Shashidhar Reddy also visited Chest Hospital and promised the employees that their issues would be taken up with the government.
