Eight agents arrested for employing kids
Hyderabad: Eight people have been arrested for employing kids secretly. “We have now arrested eight agents who continued to employ the kids secretly despite the previous raids. The kids were brought from various districts of Bihar and Jharkhand. They were crammed into rooms and never allowed to go out,” said Mr Satyanarayana.
A police probe has been initiated to find out the Hyderabadi nexus, which controls the child trafficking gang in North Indian states. The kids have been shifted to various rescue homes in city. Police has booked 14 cases under IPC Section 370 (buying or disposing of any person as a slave), Section 26 of the Juvenile justice act, apart from other relevant acts.
Police said that the raid would continue till midnight, and more children would be rescued.
