Bhatts refuse to make cuts, retain ‘A’ certificate
The film has released with an A certificate and all the said scenes intact
Mumbai: The Bhatts’ latest erotic, supernatural offering Khamoshiyan could have been granted the UA certificate (for all ages with parental guidance), had the filmmakers altered a few scenes. The Censor Board made the offer on the condition that few erotic scenes are cut and the F word is beeped. The Bhatts however, preferred to have the A (adults only) certificate with the scenes in question rather than a UA certificate without them.
Says a source, “The board felt that the lovemaking scenes were unnecessarily prolonged and ordered for three of them to be chopped off, two of which were part of a song sequence. There were also objections to certain violent scenes, such as one that involved the beheading of a chicken and beeping the F word, but the love making scenes were the main contention.”
The film has released with an A certificate and all the said scenes intact.
