Delhi police grills Amar Singh over Sunanda Pushkar death case
New Delhi: Amid reports that former Union minister Shashi Tharoor will face a second round of interrogation over the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, the Delhi police on Wednesday questioned Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Amar Singh, who had claimed on the basis of his conversation with Sunanda two days before her death that she had taken the blame for Mr Tharoor in the IPL row. Sources said Sunanda’s son Shiv Pushkar Menon would also be questioned.
Amar Singh’s questioning, that lasted two hours, was at South Delhi’s anti-auto theft squad office, where Mr Tharoor was questioned for four hours last week. Mr Singh told reporters he wanted the truth to come out. “When the SIT came to know Sunanda had talked to me a few days before her death, they asked me (about) the sequence of my talk with her.”
