US President said he was impressed with ‘incredible acrobatics’ by BSF bikers

Mumbai: We might not see US President Barack Obama riding the motorbike any time soon! The visiting leader on Monday said that he was mighty impressed by the ‘incredible acrobats’ by the BSF 'Jaanbaaz'
bikers during the Republic Day parade.

At the India-US Business Summit, held in the evening at the Taj Palace hotel in New Delhi, President Obama said ‘I don’t think I’ll ever ride a motorbike. Especially after seeing the stunts in the morning’.

The President who was addressing the meet, seemed to be in awe of the brave soldiers from BSF, who put up an 'incredible' acrobatic show.

Obama was the chief guest at the 66th Republic Day celebrations. He witnessed India’s cultural diversity and military might at the iconic parade at Rajpath.

Obama, the first US President to be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day celebrations, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the invitation extended to him for joining "in this incredible Republic Day celebrations and (for) the hospitality that you have shown to me". "Today's ceremony and the parade were truly spectacular, a moving tribute to India's founding, its democracy, its progress," he said.

A grand display of Indian military hardware, marching bands, elaborately dressed camels and cultural programmes were showcased to President Obama, who was the first American leader to be honoured as chief guest at India's annual Republic Day festivities.
