Samsung Galaxy Note Edge: ‘Curving’ out a masterpiece!

The new Galaxy smartphone from Samsung scores high in design and aesthetics

Curves are beautiful and it stands true for the Samsung’s latest, the Galaxy Note Edge. The sleek frame and a ribbon-like display screen at the edge is the USP of this device. Frequently used apps, which are normally displayed at the bottom of home screen on any other Android phone, have been shifted to the edge screen of the Galaxy Note Edge. Does this make any difference? Yes, it lets you operate the 5.6-inch large phone with one hand and easily navigate apps with your thumb.

The edge screen is extremely useful while clicking selfies and groupies (There's a 3.7 MP front facing and 16 MP rear camera), sparing you from the struggle of reaching the camera icon at the centre of the screen. Moreover, the Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with 2560x1600 pixels and 524ppi produces sharp and clear images.

The Galaxy Note Edge runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has a 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. It’s a 4G ready phone and has a single, micro-SIM slot. Most of the regular smart phone features like multiple screen option, stylus functions and camera resolution will seem familiar to users of the Galaxy Note 4.

The Galaxy Note Edge is priced at Rs 68,500, seemingly aimed at those who are prepared to pay a premium for aesthetics and a stylish statement.
