Here are links to download and try Microsoft Windows 10

Microsoft was to give out the Windows 10 technical preview next week

Microsoft launched the next version of their Windows operating system, Windows 10, this week. They were supposed to release the technical preview for public next week, but have already given out the links on their website.

The new Windows 10 build (9926) includes all the changes that Microsoft spoke about at the event, and this includes Cortana, the personal assistant that will feature for PCs.

The Windows 10 build also includes Continuum, a feature specifically designed to allow users to switch between the Modern UI and the Desktop and vice versa. The feature was designed specifically for the Surface Pro 3.

Microsoft Windows 10 can be downloaded from the Microsoft website given below and users can try the Technical preview build of the operating system on a clean PC. Head to the Microsoft website and click on the links for your preferred language and x64 or x86 versions accordingly. On the same website, Microsoft has also provided the product key to be used when installing Windows 10.

The links are ISO downloads and are almost 3GB in size. You would need to burn them onto DVD discs or create USB bootable drives to install the same. The easiest way to convert an ISO file to a DVD is to use Windows Disc Image Burner.

Note: Microsoft warns that the build is not a final release and should not be used as a daily OS for work. The released build is for testing purposes only. If you want to stop using Windows 10 Technical Preview and return to your previous version of Windows, you'll need to reinstall your previous version from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC. Laptop users should note that after you install Windows 10 Technical Preview, you won’t be able to use the recovery partition on your PC to go back to your previous version of Windows. So make sure you have the necessary backups taken before installing the operating system.
