As many as 13 swine flu deaths have been reported in Telangana since January 1.
The campaign will target slum-dwellers and school children who will be sensitised about the dos and don'ts to prevent the spread of infection, Municipal Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said.
GHMC and the district medical officer of Health Department will take up massive awareness campaign, he said.
The corporation is also taking up a special sanitation drive in slums and high-risk spots where swine-flu cases have been reported. It has deployed 24 vehicles; every vehicle has a medical officer, two nurses and a local community organiser.
Every day the GHMC lifts 3,800 tonnes of garbage and in view of the present situation, it is streamlining the process further, he said.
