IPL spot-fixing: Twitter reacts to Supreme Court verdict on N Srinivasan
Mumbai: The Supreme Court’s big verdict didn’t go down well with BCCI Chief-in-exile N Srinivasan. The apex court has now ordered Srinivasan not to contest the next elections for the post of BCCI president. Rajasthan Royals (RR) co-owner Raj Kundra and Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) team official Gurunath Meiyappan were also found guilty as they were classified as team officials. Now, a 3-member panel of former judges RM Lodha, Ashok Bhan and RV Ravindran have been appointed to further probe further into the allegations against IPL COO Sundar Raman. The panel will have to submit their report in six weeks which will more or less decide the fate of Srinivasan, Kundra, Meiyappan and cricketing franchises CSK and RR.
Twitter went abuzz after the SC’s verdict. Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi went ecstatic and used the micro-blogging site to express himself.
Decision by Hon. SC to disallow any administrator from having any commercial interest in cricket is bang on #IPLVerdict #SriniGameOver

Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle chose to remain mum on the whole verdict but at the same time had faith in the newly appointed committee.
Will have to see what the three judges rule on the future of the #csk and #rr. not clear whether judges will rule on governance issues too

Upon hearing the verdict, Raj Kundra chose to play it safe.
When you are by a mango tree you only go for the good mango and not the bad. #BlindJustice

Another cricket expert Ayaz Menon thought this verdict to be a warning call for the rest of the world.
Supreme Court has come down heavily on the country's cricket administration. Wake up call for everybody, not just Srini...
