YSR Congress slams CM N Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘extravagance’
YSRC alleged that AP CM’s campaign on the state’s financial crisis is only an evasive measure
Hyderabad: The YSR Congress on Wednesday alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s campaign on the state’s financial crisis is only an evasive measure. The YSRC has alleged that Mr Naidu wants to evade hiking employees’ salaries as per the pay revision recommendations.
YSRC MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy said “TD leaders and officials, who gave a rosy picture of the economy during the pre-Budget meeting, are suddenly saying that the ex-chequer cannot pay the salaries of the employees. This is only a ploy to evade the Pay Revision Commission’s recommendations.”
The TD said there is a surplus of Rs 375 crore after the pre-budget meeting and stating that there was revenue of Rs 79,000 crore. “So, it is not justified for the state to say that it is facing difficulty in paying salaries. This is only to put on hold the pay revision,” he said.
The YSRC demanded that the salaries of the staff should not be stopped at any cost and the Chief Minister’s extravaganza should be scaled down. “Mr Naidu always travels by a special flight. The refurbishment of his chamber and his office cost crores of rupees.
Mr Naidu did not bring in a single new scheme. He has weeded out 10 lakh pensioners and 23 lakh ration cards on one hand and has spent huge amounts on publicity and foreign trips,” he alleged.
