India is the cheapest country to live in: Cost of Living Index 2015 report

A new report on the cost of living index by country for the year 2015 shows that India is the cheapest country to live in while Switzerland proves to be the costliest.

Numbeo, a global record database published a detailed report on the ‘Cost of Living Index 2015’. The list includes a details about the Cost of Living Index of 119 countries.

According to the ‘Cost of Living Index 2015’ report, India’s Consumer Price Index stood at 26.27 which makes it the cheapest country to live in. Taking into consideration the Consume Price Index, Rent Index and Groceries Index, Swizerland is the costliest country.

According to the Infographics published by Numbeo, Switzerland, Norway, Venezuela, Iceland, Denmark are the top five countries that have the highest cost of living. Iceland has ranked 4th this year, as compared to the 10th position in 2013.

The report also states that Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh are costlier than India.
