Didi can’t stop our ‘Vijayrath’: Amit Shah
Burdwan: BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday warned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that she would not be able to stop the BJP’s victory march in the state by unleashing terror on his party workers.
Referring to the alleged torture of the aunt of a BJP worker in Birbhum, he said: “If you want sangharsh (confrontation) then BJP workers are ready to give a befitting reply.” He was addressing a rally in Burdwan.
“One of our workers was branded with burning cigarette butts by Trinamul workers. Recently, the palm of a woman supporter was slashed with a blade. You cannot stop BJP’s vijay rath (victory march) by unleashing atrocities. The more you attack our workers the more lotuses will bloom in Bengal,” Mr Shah added.
In a scathing attack against Ms Banerjee, the BJP president said she was too busy trying to save her party leaders involved in the Saradha chit fund scam to provide good governance to the people.
“In the last few years, many industries have closed down in West Bengal. But she is not concerned. Her focus is not the unemployed youth. Development will take place in Bengal only after BJP comes to power,” Mr Shah said.
The BJP organised Mr Shah’s rally in Burdwan where an accidental bomb blast in a house exposed the presence of terror modules in the state.
Mr Shah said, “Bengal is a border state. But for the sake of vote bank politics, she is allowing Bangladeshi infiltrators in the state, which is a threat to the security of the country. She did not properly investigate the blast,” he alleged.
