Hyderabad: Taking the battle with Andhra Pradesh over common entrance tests to the next level, the Telangana government on Monday announced its own calendar of tests, including Eamcet, for admissions to professional courses in Telangana for 2015-16.
With this, students in the two Telugu-speaking states would have to write both the Cets, if they aspire for admissions in the two states. The Andhra Pradesh Council of Higher Education had announced its schedule on December 29 last. The Telangana schedule avoids a clash with the Andhra Pradesh dates.
Prof T. Papi Reddy, chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, who released the schedule, said the Eamcet would be held on May 14, Lawcet on May 19, Ecet on May 21, Icet on May 22, Edcet on June 6, Physical Edcet on May 25 and Pgecet on June 4.
