Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy named Akash Ramdas died at a private hospital at Kothatanda village of Mandanapally, Ranga Reddy district, after being bitten by a dog.
The mad dog had bit the boy’s leg 10 days ago. Locals say that the dog had earlier attacked two persons of the same village, leaving them critically ill. No police complaint has been lodged so far by the boy’s parents.
Akash’s father Ramdas said, “My son was playing at our residence when the dog attacked him; it caught him by his left leg and tore out his flesh. We admitted Akash to a nearby private hospital. Doctors said that the infection had spread throughout his body.”
Locals say that the mad dog had earlier attacked two persons but they do not know where it came from.
In a separate incident, a wild boar attacked a woman leaving her critically injured.
