Jeevitha Rajasekhar is excited about having been appointed as one of the members for the Central Board of Film Certification.
“There are four members, including the chairman Pahlaj Nihalani, representing the film industry. It’s a good sign and I am confident that in the future the Board and the film industry will work towards the betterment of the society,” says Jeevitha.
She added that she did not want to talk about the controversies that happened in the past. “It’s a responsible job and I am from the film industry.
So I know the problems faced by the industry and at the same time, as a member, I have to work for the society,” she added.
Jeevitha says that she will raise her voice whenever there are issues. “Until now, at the CBFC, the representation from the industry was very low, but now it has changed.
Also, I will look into the problems in the regional censor board too,” she says. When asked when she would leave for Delhi to meet the chairman, she said nothing has been finalised yet. “The Board will meet soon and I will definitely attend the meeting,” she says.
