Telangana to get NTR model schools
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam leader Nara Lokesh said the party would establish an international university named after the late N.T. Rama Rao. Mr Lokesh, who has concentrated on strengthening the party in Telangana, said branches of the NTR blood bank would be set up at Warangal or Karimnagar.
Mr Lokesh was speaking at a programme organised by the TD to mark NTR’s death anniversary on Sunday. He said that NTR model schools would be set up in all 10 TS districts and 13 districts of AP. He said the party would start the model school in Avanigadda Assembly constituency in Krishna district.
Inaugurating the health camp at NTR Trust Bhavan, the party headquarters, Mr Lokesh said that the NTR Trust would extend services to the people with the slogan, “Health and Education for Everyone." He said that the party earned Rs.50 crore in its ongoing membership drive.
Meanwhile, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid tributes to the late party patriarch on Sunday at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad along with his family members.
His wife Bhuvaneswari, son Mr okesh and daughter-in-law Brahmini were present. Speaking to the media, Mr Naidu said that he will try to ensure that the Bharat Ratna was conferred on NTR.
He said that the former chief minister and party founder was a model for the future generations. Later Mr Naidu started the NTR Amara Jyothi rally at the NTR statue at Rasoolapura in Hyderabad.
