Leader of Opposition flays CM Chandrasekhar Rao for Rabi water delay
Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Assembly K. Jana Reddy on Saturday flayed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his concentration on power politics in the newly formed state, rather than improving the electricity situation. Mr Reddy, along with TPCC working president N. Uttam kumar Reddy, said it looks like Mr Rao is only touring the districts for the sake of politics, not in the interests of farmers and poor people. “Even when the state was united and there was less water available in Nagarjunasagar, the then Congress government ensured supply of waters for Rabi crop under Left Bank canal, but the TRS government has not made any announcement on when are they going to release water for the Rabi crop,” said Mr Reddy.
Over six lakh acres of ayacut under Left Bank canal in Nalgonda and Khammam are expected to be getting water for Rabi crop, but still the TRS government seems to be busy in doing politics than talking to Krishna River Management Board, he added. Mr Reddy criticised AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu naidu for doing injustice to Telangana.
