HYDERABAD: After winding up its electoral duties, the Secunderabad Cantonment Board authority is set to resume the demolition activity this month.
As the entire SCB administration was busy with ward elections, most of the demolition activity was put on hold. “We will resume the demolition drive this month,” said Sujatha Gupta, the chief executive officer of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board.
There are many apartments and commercial complexes that have already been served notices. Several property owners have got a stay on the show cause notices from SCB authority.
“Most of the commercial spaces on the main road of Kharkana and other areas like Marredpally, Alwal etc. have not left the setback according to norms. These spaces can be corrected only through demolition,” said the official.
