Shahid admires Deepika as an actor

Mumbai: They might make a somewhat odd pair on the big screen, but that didn’t stop Shahid Kapoor from walking up to Deepika Padukone at a recent event, and expressing his wish of working with her someday.
Our little khabrus at the event tell us that the little exchange occurred because Shahid was seated next to Dippy in the front row at the venue. Dippy took the time to compliment Shahid on his performance in Haider. What she didn’t expect perhaps, was that Shahid would immediately express his desire to work with her.
“Being cordial and greeting each other is common courtesy, but Shahid was very genuine in expressing just how much he wanted to act with Deepika,” our source reported. We also hear that the two young actors seemed to get on very well indeed, with Sasha later overhead ruing his lack of height to the statuesque Dippy.
“Shahid admires Deepika as an actor. He is hopeful that some intelligent writer will come up with a script that gives them the chance to work together,” said a source close to Shahid when we asked about his new friend.
As do Alia Bhatt-Sidharth Malhotra?
All eyes were on Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt, as they walked the red carpet at a recently held awards function. With all the rumours about them being a couple doing the rounds, it was hardly surprising that they were both quizzed about it.
Sidharth admitted that he had been accompanied by Alia on his recent holiday, but insisted they are just friends. “Alia and I have been going out together before as well, maybe people are just noticing it now, and putting two and two together,” he said. “However, I’m very much single.”
Alia, on the other hand, simply blushed and refused to comment on her relationship status. “No matter what I say, people won’t believe me anyway,” she said. The actress also laughed and said the mediapersons are hardly her best friends who she’d share everything with!
