Employees receive 1,728 ‘futile’ emails a year
London: A new study has recently revealed that employees receive 1,728 "futile" emails a year like "please sponsor me."
Office workers admitted that top of a list of the most annoying was the dread request, "please sponsor me" and even practical emails about fire drills or announcing "the printer has broken" had staff repeatedly hitting the delete button, the Daily Express reported.
The poll, by office phone headset maker Sennheiser Communications, quizzed 2,000 office employees. A third said a particular colleague was notorious for sending pointless messages and half said they wished people would phone them instead.
Emails people like are ones including information on pay rises, juicy bits of gossip or offering slices of cake. Well up on the list of those least welcome was, "There isn't any toilet roll left."
