Hyderabad: Wife hires 3 assassins to kill husband for land
Hyderabad: A 40-year-old woman, who hired three assassins to kill her husband in order to grab his property, was arrested by Central Zone police on Tuesday.
Marishetty Jayaraja Kusuma Kumari was having an affair with a 26-year-old B.Tech graduate and planned her husband’s murder with him before executing it on December 20.
The hired assassins hid inside the victim Marishetty Susheel Chakravarthy’s flat and attacked him with hammer and screwdrivers when he returned home on December 20.
Susheel, a 41-year-old landlord, was found dead inside his house in Bakaram, Gandhi Nagar, lying in a pool of blood. The body was discovered a week later, as he was living alone. “The highly decomposed body was found near the bed,” said Musheerabad inspector B. Mohan Kumar.
Police probe led the cops to his wife.
“The two were married in 1996 and have two children. Two years back, Kusuma Kumari moved out and started living with her parents in Moula Ali. Susheel own acres of lands on the city outskirts worth nearly '10 crore, and Kusuma Kumari hoped to grab the property after eliminating him,” said the inspector.
Kusuma Kumari, and her lover Lanka Naresh Kumar, had planned the murder and hired killers Voriganti Balraj, Poosala Raju, and Shaik Ghouse.
All the accused people have been booked for murder and conspiracy and have been sent to judicial remand.
