The glove sends an ‘electric shock to the offender’

Chennai: Three third year Electronics and Communication Engineering students of the College of Engineering, Guindy, assisted by two final year students, have developed a wearable e-glove that women can use for their safety.
The glove sends an ‘electric shock to the offender’ the moment she holds the hands of a man. The person who wears the glove will not be harmed as it is insulated. Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi launched the project at Anna University on Saturday, encouraging the students involved in the project to apply for a patent.
“The students did this project as part of techno-management fest Kurukshetra. This e-glove will have an electronic circuit which will send high voltage shock pulse and give the offender an electric shock,” said P. Narayanasamy, Dean, College of Engineering, Anna University.
