Apple patents a phone that bends

Apple’s US patent is called ‘Flexible electronic device’

Being scrutinized for a while on the issue of ‘Bendgate’, Apple has now bought a US patent for a phone that is flexible, and has teh ability to bend.

According to a report on ZDNet, a US patent called a ‘Flexible electronic device’ has been granted to Apple for a handset that could move like a slice of silicon. The patent describes it as a device with flexible layered components, which could be fixed into multiple stable positions. And the flexible integrals of the device would include display, battery, circuit board and other components of the hardware, with higher regions of flexibility.

This is a big leap by Apple, as the flexible feature in a device could prove to be the future of the present smart devices. The event of Bendgate disappointed a lot of Apple fans, and this could be Apple’s big chance to recover the lost audience.
