Telugu e-book store delights book lovers

Kinige.com has become a treasure hove for Telugu e-books
Vijayawada: The first Telugu e-book store, Kinige.com, has become a treasure hove for Telugu e-books. The website’s name was coined after a Russian word which means book. The website, now in its fifth year, has more than 4,500 Telugu books of different genres.
Depending on the reader’s preference, he or she can rent e-books or buy them. This portal even offers worldwide delivery services of Telugu books. With free e-book previews, readers can have an idea of what the book is about.
Additionally, it has around 300 e-books which can be read free of cost. The portal has 70,000 registered users. Lately, it has started a collection of “Tenglish” books for those who can speak and understand Telugu, but cannot read the script.
There are around 1,000 such books on the website and they are immensely helpful, especially for non-resident Indians. Kinige.com was founded by Chava Kiran, a literary buff and software professional.
N. Sudhir, a customer, who visited the stall set up by Kinige.com at the Vijayawada book fair, said, “The e-book store provided me, a regular traveler, the opportunity to read books online. It saves me the burden of carrying books.” P. Tirumalesh, a book lover, said, “The quality of content is very good. The best part is that it is free.”
