Mom, son, 2 students die in road mishaps
They were killed in road mishap at two different places on Friday
Hyderabad: Four persons, including a woman and a seven-year-old child, were killed in road mishap at two different places on Friday.
In the first incident, 34-year-old Manjula, a private school teacher, and her seven-year-old son Arnor, a Class II student, were killed. According to SI of Chandanagar P. Saidulu, the two-wheeler Manjula was riding with Arnor was hit by a rashly driven truck from behind. Both fell down on the road and came under the wheels of the truck. They died on the spot.
In the other incident, two engineering students were killed on the Outer Ring Road at Peddamberpet in Hayathnagar. The deceased are Bharath, 20, and Krishna Teja, 20, both B.Tech final-year students of Brilliant Institute of Engineering and Technology.
According to Hayathnagar inspector P. Venkateshwarlu, the duo was returning on a bike from college when the mishap occurred. It was when they reached near Peddamberpet, the driver of a truck in front of them applied sudden brakes.
“The boys’ bike rammed into the truck and they sustained grievous injuries and died,” said Mr Venkateshwarlu. In both incidents, the truck drivers were booked for negligence.
