Star Wars and James Bond star Khan Bonfils dies during rehearsal

London: British actor Khan Bonfils, known for his work in the Star Wars and James Bond franchises, died unexpectedly Tuesday during rehearsals for a play, according to UK media reports. He was 42. The cause of death is not yet known. Khan starred in Star Wars: Episode 1 and James Bond film, died during a rehearsal for an upcoming theatre production.

Bonfils, who had played the role of a Jedi master Saesee Tiin in 1991 'Star Wars' film, collapsed in midst of preparing for 'Dante's Inferno', which was due to open at The Rag Factory in east London this week, the Independent reported.
Company's spokesman Chris Hislop said that Bonfils though the director Rocky Rodriguez Jr, performed CPR on location, and an ambulance was called out, unfortunately he couldn't be resuscitated.
The company released a statement saying "With great sadness, we announce the death of Kan (Khan) Bonfils. His sudden loss is a tragedy and he will be sorely missed."
