‘Yes, I am attracted to Bipasha’ - Karan Singh Grover

He’s one of the most popular stars on the small screen who’s waiting for the release of his Bollywood film Alone. The film has also been in the news for his on and off-screen camaraderie with co-star Bipasha Basu. “Since its our film, it’s inevitable for people to read between the lines. Bipasha is a great girl. She’s very hot and attractive. If you’re asking if I’m attracted to her, yes I am,” says Karan.

He continues, “Initially I was very skeptical about her because we belonged to different industries. But then we got along like a house on fire. We realised that we had so much in common. From our passion for fitness to understanding of situations, we are on the same page.”

Their selfies have been trending on social networking websites fanning the rumours further. But during the making of the film, they were both going through tough times in their personal lives. “My separation from Jennifer (Winget) and Bipasha’s break up happened around the same time. But that was never discussed. She is a private person and I don’t encroach on other people’s privacy.”

Karan admits that his Casanova image is the talk of the town. “What I do in my personal space has nothing to do with my professional life. I’ve had a tough time dealing with failed marriages. But who gives anyone the right to judge me? I won’t go around explaining myself.” On being quizzed about his current equation with Jennifer, he says, “We’re expecting the divorce to come through soon. As of now, I’m not in touch with her.”

On the professional front, Karan is ecstatic about signing a three-film deal with producer Kumar Mangat. “There are a few scripts that I’ve been discussing but nothing has been finalised yet. I’d rather wait for Alone to release before jumping on to another project.” Unlike other TV actors who moved to the big screen, he clarifies that he has not bid adieu to the small screen that made him an actor in the first place.
