KCR following BR Ambedkar: Deputy CM T Rajaiah
He said CM is working for the welfare and development of the Dalits in the state
Adilabad: Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister T. Rajaiah on Tuesday said Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao was following the footsteps of Dalit leader Dr. B. R. Ambedkar for the welfare and development of the Dalits in the state.
He said ‘Samjika Bhavans’ (community halls) will be constructed at a cost of Rs 25 lakh each in every mandal in the state and that the funds will be allocated in the next Budget. The chief minister will take a decision on this soon.
The deputy chief minister was addressing a gathering at Mamidipalli village in Dandepalli mandal after unveiling a statue of B.R Ambedkar in the evening.
Dr Rajaiah said contribution of Dalits to the Telangana agitation will be remembered for ever faulted Dalit leaders who were hesitating to reveal their caste even while enjoying the fruits of reservations.
He said fee reimbursement would be given to all the eligible students under FAST scheme and added that pensions will also be given to all the eligible persons.
Meanwhile, some students raised slogans against the state government for the inordinate delay in releasing the funds for post-matric scholarships and issuing guidelines for FAST. Later, Dr Rajaiah inaugurated a PHC at Donabanda village.
Deputy Chief Minister will review the medical and health issues at Mancherial area hospital and night halt at the hospital. Peddapalli MP Balka Suman, Mancherial MLA Diwakar Rao, Bellampalli MLA Durgam Chinnaiah and East region party convenor Puranam Satish were present.
