Big B will be the Brand Ambassador for health in the state

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh minister for health Kamineni Srinivas revealed that Amitabh Bachchan will be the Brand Ambassador for health in that state.
This came as a big surprise as the actor had met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao recently. The buzz in political circles is that Bachchan, the face of tourism in Gujarat, was approached by the BJP for Andhra Pradesh, and he consented.
Mr Kamineni Srinivas said, “Amitabh Bachchan has accepted the offer and he will participate in different awareness campaigns for the state.” Health is the criteria as the Chief Minister interacted with health experts who submitted a draft health policy to the government.
Naidu is keen to establish super speciality hospitals either through private partnership or via trust. In a meeting with all the experts, Naidu has asked doctors to concentrate on primary healthcare and help to improve the situation.
He is also keen to increase the number of nurses and paramedical staff. To ensure that medical education is properly imparted, the 25 medical institutes will be provided with Wifi for virtual lessons.
There is also a need for cancer hospital in Andhra Pradesh and this was pointed out to the chief minister by the panel of health experts. Dr Nageshwar Reddy, renowned gastroenterologist gave a presentation on the importance of primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare.
