My ministers don’t listen to me, says Bihar CM
Patna: After a long gap of silence, Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has spoken once again. This time he levelled an allegation against some of his ministers for not supporting him and doubting his ability to work.
“I work for the people and am working to fulfil the promises I have made to the people of Bihar. I don’t care what they say or weather I get their support or not,” Mr Manjhi said at a public function in Munger.
“Some of the ministers say that I am playing a game of cricket, but I don’t care what they say. I am just doing my work, I don’t play Test match or One Day,” he added.
The chief minister’s statement seems to have disturbed the party leaders, including former chief minister Nitish Kumar and state president Basistha Narayan Singh. When asked about Mr Manjhi’s allegation levelled against the ministers of Mr Manjhi’s Cabinet, they avoided the question.
“I have no idea what Mr Manjhi has said. Let’s discuss the issue of party and not what Mr Manjhi has said,” Mr Singh said while addressing a press conference after the political advisory meeting on Sunday.
Former chief minister Kumar too declined to comment . It may be noted that Opposition leaders has been indicating that Mr Manjhi is being used as a puppet by both Mr Kumar and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.
