Bengaluru: Launching a blistering attack on BJP national president, Amit Shah, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday caustically remarked that he need not take moral lessons from Mr Shah who himself is of ‘questionable character.’
Speaking at the inauguration of Chitra Sante, an annual art fare that was organized by Chitrakala Parishat here, Mr Siddaramaiah said, “What great moral qualities does he possess?
His moral preaching is similar to an age old adage of the Devil quoting the scriptures. I need not take his words seriously at all, he is not worthy of listening to.”
According to him, Mr Shah himself was facing several charges including a fake encounter case and corruption charges and wondered how his words could be taken seriously when he had used his influence to get relief from CBI cases, in which he was involved? “Why do you (Media) take him so seriously,” he asked angrily.
Continuing his tirade against BJP leaders in the state, the CM quipped that the BJP leaders were aware how immoral they were when they were in power.
“They watched blue films when the entire state was crying for attention seeking relief from the drought. The BJP’s first CM in South India was jailed for corrupt practices,” he remarked.
In Charamrajnagar, the CM while inauguraitng a Buddhist convention said Mr Amit Shah was day dreaming of making Karnataka ‘Congress free.’
