Amazon to release a new smartphone after Fire Phone disaster
Everyone deserves a second chance, but in the tech industry, a second chance is usually not very welcoming. Amazon seems to be trying a second comeback after the biggest failure of its first smartphone, the Fire Phone.
The Amazon Fire Phone was a disaster and a failure of the year. The shopping website launched its first smartphone, which was massively hyped with gimmicks, especially the five front facing cameras, which was used for nothing more than tracking, which is used for dynamic perspective in its user interface. However, the device was soon tarnished and Amazon was left with millions of smartphones still stocked in its warehouse, resulting in being sold off with massive discounts and offers.
Amazon seems to want to give themselves another shot in the smartphone industry and it looks like they are headed back to the drawing board for a new handset. According to Mobileburn, sources close to the retail giant have confirmed that Amazon is building another smartphone from the bottom up and speculating the release of a new device by 2016.
Hopefully, Amazon will not place any gimmicky areas for another catastrophic tech disaster for 2016.
