Livid over Padma Bhushan snub, Saina Nehwal smashes Sports Ministry
Hyderabad: Upset over the Padma Bhushan snub, India’s Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal came down heavily on the Sports Ministry. The ace Indian shuttler took to twitter to express her disappointment.
The Badminton Association of India had suggested Saina’s name for the prestigious national honour in October 2014. However, another Indian Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar was chosen over her. Apparently, the snub had not gone down well with the Hyderabad-based badminton star.
Saina, tweeted her displeasure explaining why she and not Sushil Kumar is eligible for the highest civilian award.
