Pollution issues keep sales down

The Jawaharnagar project is facing the menace of the stench from the Jawaharnagar dumpyard

Hyderabad: While the price factor and “vastu doshas” are partly responsible for housing units remaining unsold, pollution seems to be the biggest deterrent.

Not a single flat was sold at Gajularamaram and Jawaharnagar Swagruha housing projects due to pollution issues.

The Jawaharnagar project is facing the menace of the stench from the Jawaharnagar dumpyard.

Though authorities boast of amenities like underground cabling, generator back up, Manjeera water supply etc., applicants point out the pollution factor.

“Given the lower land cost in Gajurlaramaram and Jawaharnagar, I visited the projects for buying at least three flats, but these houses had pollution issues.

While Jawaharnagar had a prevalent smell problem, the Gajularamaram project is close to a stone quarrying and also drug industries with harmful emissions,” said Mohd. Kamran, a private employee.
