Shamitabh director R. Balki is full of praise for the debutante actress

Mumbai: Akshara Haasan is quite a chip off the old block. She went straight into her debut film Shamitabh without any acting classes.
Says director R. Balki, “Akshara didn’t need any preparation. She is a complete natural before the camera. Both her parents are fantastic actors and Akshara has inherited the best of both Kamal Haasan and Sarika.”
The earlier plan was to put Akshara through workshops with co-star Dhanush, who by now is a veteran of many films. He is also a friend of Akshara’s elder sister, actress Shruti Haasan, and treats Akshara like a kid sister.
However, Akshara showed no signs of any awkwardness with Dhanush. Says Balki, ‘There is a sparkling spontaneity to her personality. I don’t think Akshara is intimidated by anyone.”
