Owners to give land GAP to Andhra Pradesh

The rules do not provide any provision for levying penalty on the government

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday notified the Andhra Pradesh Capital City Land Pooling Scheme (Formulation and Implementation) Rules 2015.

According to this, farmers, i.e. landowners have to enter into a “development agreement-cum-irrevocable general power of attorney” empowering the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) with total ownership rights on the land being surrendered by them in return for smaller developed plots agreed upon between both parties.

The rules do not provide any provision for levying penalty on the government or CRDA for delays in giving back the developed plots within a specified timeframe.
