Akshara Haasan is making her Bollywood debut with 'Shamitabh'
Mumbai: Akshara Haasan is quite a chip off the old block.She’s went straight into her debut film Shamitabh co-starring Dhanush without any acting classes. Says director R Balki, “Akshara didn't need need any preparation. She is a complete natural before the camera.Both her parents are fantastic actors. Akshara has inherited the best of both Kamal Haasan and Sarika.”
The earlier plan was to put Akshara through workshops with Dhanush who is a veteran of many films. He is also a friend of Akshara’s elder sister actress Shruti Haasan and treats Akshara like a kid sister. However Akshara showed no signs of any awkwardness with Dhanush.
Says Balki, ‘There is a sparkling spontaneity to her personality. I don’t think Akshara is intimidated by anyone.” Besides the Big B and Dhanush the entire cast of Balki’s new film comprises of new actors.
