The GHMC is planning to launch 50 bio-toilets for women

Hyderabad: In a city crying for women’s toilets, men shamelessly pee at every wall, even though the GHMC has installed 47 bio-urinals for men.
A GHMC official simply said: “Men relieve themselves in public, women don’t.” The upshot of it is that men aren’t using the bio-urinals.
Meanwhile, additional commissioner N. Ravi Kiran said the GHMC is ‘planning’ to launch 50 bio-toilets for women too... but they are at the ‘design stage’.
“Women need a special design. We have to consider the feel-good factor too and the toilets should be approachable,” said Mr Ravi Kiran.
He also said there was no space for women’s toilets. “We are planning 1,000 bio-toilets in the city,” he said.
