Mumbai: Google is celebrating with a new doodle featuring the year's top trending and most searched for topics as we wave goodbye to 2014. Highlights include the iPhone 6, Peaches Geldof and Robin Williams - but the most popular search was the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Sometimes you just want to know what’s been trending – and today Google has rolled out a simple way to explore 2014 trending topics in Search. Just after Google's 2014 Year in Review, the new Google Trends feature lists the top top trends of the year when users search for “2014 trending topics,” “2014 trends” or similar query.

The Google 2014 New Years Eve logo incorporates many of the trending topics of 2014. It highlights the 2014 World Cup, the Philae robotic lander, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Flappy Bird, and the Mars Orbiter Mission. Google also released a video to mark the doodle:
