Rajamouli's father Vijayendra Prasad’s film, a sci-fi thriller, is in the news. The director has chosen a fresh face Raghavendra Raju as the lead actor opposite Neha Hinge, who is also making her Telugu film debut.
Raju who completed his acting course in Vizag from Satyanand Institute says, “I was chosen by the director after giving an audition. It’s not a regular story, it is one of its kind. It has scope for performance and I am lucky to be part of the film.”
The director Vijayendra Prasad is known for many hit films like Samarasimha Reddy, Simhadri, Chatrapathi, Vikramarkudu, Magadheera and Eega.
“This film is completely different from his earlier films and is more a screenplay-based film,” says Raju adding that he felt the film will definitely equal Hollywood standards. This film is being made in Telugu and Tamil. “It’s a great honour for me to work with such a great person and my dream is coming true with this,” says the debutant.
Popular director Sukumar is producing this film as he liked the subject very much.
“Everybody is so encouraging and supportive and it really helps a lot as I am new to the industry,” says Raju.
