Director Shankar has a huge fan following in Telugu; most of his films have been dubbed and have been successful. Shankar, who is known as one of the best directors in India, is actually a big fan of Rajamouli, who was a special guest at the promotion of Shankar’s big-budget I.
“After watching Magadheera, I became a fan of Rajamouli and now I am waiting eagerly for his upcoming film, Baahubali. I have seen the making of the film and it matches international standards,” said Shankar.
He continued: “The Telugu audience has always been supporting my films. I came close to directing a Telugu film twice, but missed. However, one day I will direct a Telugu film.”
Talking about his upcoming film I, he said that it is a romantic thriller and that this was his first time in this genre. “The film has got a huge hype already and I am sure that that I will live up to all expectations,” says Shankar.
