New Year, no let up for CM Siddaramaiah on Arkavathy
BJP feels Arkavathy is a fit case for fighting in a court of law and may seek the Governor’s sanction in mid-January
Bengaluru: After sitting on the sidelines for 20 months with no hard hitting issue to fight the ruling Congress party, the opposition BJP has reportedly decided to fall back on the Arkavathy denotification scam to turn up the heat on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the New Year.
As a prelude to this, the BJP will seek Governor Vajubhai Vala’s sanction to prosecute the Chief Minister for his alleged role in the land scam.
The party alleges that the CM illegally denotified more than 500 acres in the BDA formed layout violating rules and reducing the land available for allotment to genuine site allottees.
The BJP feels Arkavathy is a fit case for fighting in a court of law and may seek the Governor’s sanction in mid-January.
