The Internet gets a taste of the Telugu alphabet as an emoticon this year
This "worried for your sanity" emoticon uses the Telugu character ‘tta' and an underscore.
Netizens this year had a lot of options to choose from in terms of emoticons. But one set of creative emoticons were developed using a combination of Telugu alphabets and punctuations. The result was people being able to convey some really complex emotions through these emoticons.
Users across the world got to use these emoticons and they became a hit with many. From the numerical “four” in Telugu, that was used to signify a stethoscope or a doctor, to the letter ‘la’ to produce a “punch” followed by two or three hyphens (put together they look like a boxing glove), emoting did become more enjoyable this year.
