Six district collectors transferred in state
Chennai: The state government on Saturday transferred six district collectors, including the Tiruchirappalli collector, to fill the vacancy notified in the Srirangam Assembly constituency. Theni, Virudhunagar, Nagapttinam, Dindigul and Sivagangai collectors and two other bureaucrats were also transferred.
The order from cief secretary K. Gnanadesikan on Saturday read that registrar of Co-operative Societies R. Kirlosh Kumar was transferred as director of Town and Country Planning in the place of A. Karthik, the official holding additional charge. Tiruchirappalli District Collector Jayashree Muralidharan was transferred, being posted as the new registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Theni Collector K.S. Palanisamy will be the new collector of Tiruchirappalli replacing Ms Jayashree. Dindigul Collector N. Venkatachalam will assume charge as Theni Collector.Nagapattinam Collector T. Munusamy was also transferred to Sivagangai as its Collector. Deputy secretary to government, school education department, S. Palanisamy is the new Nagapattinam Collector.
Similarly, Virudhunagar Collector T. N. Hariharan will be the new Collector of Dindigul. Sivagangai Collector V. Rajaraman has been posted as Collector of Virudhunagar.It may be noted that last week the state also transferred three of its senior officials, including an additional chief secretary and two of its principal secretaries.
