Brad Hadin and Steve Smith had put up century stand for sixth wicket

The Australia captain added another 50 runs with Mitchell Johnson, who scored 28 before being stumped off Ravichandran Ashwin (2-65) shortly before lunch.

Steven Smith smashed an imperious 192 to lead Australia to an imposing first-innings total of 530 at tea on the second day of the third test against India.
The dominating knock was the Australia captain's highest first class score, his third century of the series and seventh of his test career. On the way he passed David Warner as Australia's leading run-scorer for 2014.
Smith was ably assisted by Brad Haddin (55) and fast bowler Ryan Harris (74), who brought up entertaining half centuries to help the Australians add 271 runs to their overnight score.
With India's field ranged against the boundary, Smith was the last Australian out, bowled middle stump by Umesh Yadav (3-130) to usher tea.
Indian openers, Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan starts cautiously against a strong Australian pace attack. Vijay is on 20 and his partner Dhawan made 23 runs. India 43/0 after 11 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan caught out after making 28. He edged Harris delivery and Smith takes a good low catch at second slip. Chateswar Pujara joins Vijay at the crease. India 61/1 in 18 overs.

Opener Murali Vijay scored yet another half century as he also gone past 400 runs. Chateswara Pujara holding the fort at other end with a patient 69 ball 25 runs. India still trails by 422 runs with 9 wickets to spare.
